Skill prerequisits

Will and awareness of facing a difficult course that will heavily test the candidate physically and mentally.
We also recommend previous experience in the use of short and long weapons and the knowledge of the basic safety rules.
The list of necessary and fundamental materials to face the course must be respected. Any superfluous, different or advantageous material will be held until the end of the course.
The use of GPS is prohibited, except for mobile phones that will be left to the candidates for safety reasons (although the use is highly discouraged).

Day 1

INTRODUCTION to the S.E.R.E.

MISSION or SITUATION (how to elaborate and study it)

Psychological aspects of S.E.R.E.
Medical Conditions in the S.E.R.E. , knowledge of possible risks and how to deal with them
Analysis of atmospheric conditions and their influence on the situation
Analysis of the environment in which we operate in relation to the S.E.R.E.
Analysis of the local population and behaviors to be kept
How to dress and analyze the body temperature of a human being in relation to numerous external factors
Illustration and construction of a shelter depending on the situation / environment
Ignition of a fire, methods and organization of the same
Equipment and use
Water and treatment
Food, analysis of average physical needs and illustration of traps
Land navigation bases, use of GPS and navigation aids at every level
Evasion in the event of capture and tactical / behavioral precautions to be taken

Beginning of practical lessons in relation to the lessons, following the same chronological order. In this phase the students will not be able to sleep and they will have to wait for the instructors’ technical / educational indications

Day 2

Conduction and maintenance of the sleep deprivation situation
Deprivation of superfluous clothing for the duration of the activity outside and obligation to remain short-sleeved until 11.00pm Zulu
Construction of the shelter and various examples
Construction of the water filter and purification of the same
Group topography exercises and examples of orientation with classic or modern aids
Construction of circumstantial weapons
Search for food (teoria)
Lighting the fire
20 ‘OF daily AMRAP or mandatory exercise under the supervision of the instructors. The student will have the faculty to decide intensity and repetitions of the exercise. This examination allows the student to realize his own psycho / physical decay in relation to the time elapsed and the conditions.

Day 3

Conduction on the same line as the exercises so far addressed. Students will not be able to eat and will have 1L of drinking water available to meet their essential needs.
20 ‘OF daily AMRAP or mandatory exercise under the supervision of the instructors. The student will have the faculty to decide intensity and repetitions of the exercise. This examination allows the student to realize his own psycho / physical decay in relation to the time elapsed and the conditions.

Day 4

Capture simulation, transfer to the Mogadishu complex or suitable structure, stress positions with hourly change, interrogation and 5W’s request
Release of hostages and announcement of END OF EXERCISE TO SURVIVORS.
Feeding of food and everything most needed by the students.
2h of BREAK
Hot Wash up regarding the training activity, response to questions and feelings of the student.
Administration of sleep in appropriate facilities and rest to better face the day of activity with weapons in the morning

Course info

Implement the ability of stress management and overcome psycho/physical limits.
At the end of the course the student will be able to manage his isolation following any critical situation and react in case of capture by hostile subjects.
The S.E.R.E. course aims to stimulate the instinct for survival and conservation.
