10 - 11. V. 2008 D.E.P. TACTICAL EXCERCISES - POLAND
Between 10 and 11 May 2008, a tactical task practice for the DEP agents was organized in the fields of E.S.A. training center. The theme was "Ways of a VIP evacuation from the place of incident".
The agents were given a test in the legal procedures ‘AFTER USE OF FIREARMS’, the securing of the place of incident and paramedic activities.
The main element of the test was the verification of the ability to maintain protective actions after the maximum physical effort - the agents ran the assault course and then they were expected to perform tactical shooting against time.
The first aid training session took place in the support vehicles and medical equipment which are used by the agents in their everyday service. The special simulations of injuries created realistic scenarios.
The final part of the training session were ‘the live scenarios’. The agents’ task was to react appropriately to the different types of ambush on the protection escorts (attack on principal while traveling - drills).
